Israeli actress Gal Gadot has consistently been vocal on social media about antisemitism and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, her stance in support of the Israeli government has frequently drawn backlash from netizens, who accuse her of being a Zionist and ignoring the suffering of Palestinians. Gadot, who is set to star in the upcoming live-action "Snow White" film, recently attended the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL) annual summit, where she delivered a new speech advocating against antisemitism. Unsurprisingly, her remarks have once again sparked controversy.

During her speech, Gadot stated, "I am proud to be an Israeli. I am proud to be Jewish. But now is the time for our Jewish community to find its voice and confront external hatred, no matter how uncomfortable it may be." Gadot then called for all hostages trapped in Gaza to be brought home, emphasizing that they are "in hell every second," and that as Jews, "we must stand up for them, and for each other."
David Schwimmer, known for his role as Ross in the TV series "Friends," also delivered a speech at the event. He directly criticized some Hollywood actors who, despite benefiting from their Jewish identity, have remained silent about the hardships faced by Jews.

Shortly after the Israeli Embassy in the U.S. uploaded a video of Gadot's speech, the comment section was immediately flooded with condemnation. Netizens slammed Gadot as cold-hearted and disgusting, with many sarcastically commenting: "Nobody cares that you are a proud occupier." Another user wrote, "Her remarks are incredibly ironic because she has never publicly addressed the genocide her government is promoting. Being a proud Jew doesn't mean condoning the ethnic cleansing and genocide happening next door to you." Other comments included: "Has she ever considered why people hate them?" and "You should rename yourself a proud baby killer." One particularly harsh comment read, "She can be a proud Jew, but not a proud Zionist. Slaughtering children is neither noble nor virtuous, so Gal Gadot, get out."
