Japanese model manufacturer MegaHouse's anime-themed high-quality character figure series『Lucrea』has announced the commercialization of two new products from the『Gundam 45th Anniversary x Hatsune Miku』collaboration project:「Hatsune Miku x Wing Gundam Zero EW」and「Hatsune Miku x 00 Gundam」. Release dates are yet to be determined.
The『Gundam 45th Anniversary x Hatsune Miku』collaboration project, first announced in October 2024, finally revealed a wealth of content today, "ZAKU X MIKU Day". This year will see the release of numerous model toys and merchandise collaborating between the Gundam IP and Hatsune Miku, and further collaborations with Bandai Namco's《Taiko no Tatsujin》and《Gundam EXVS. Series》. Additionally, the official announcement today included the collaborative song『Idol Senshi / アイドル戦士 (feat. Hatsune Miku)』, which remixes classic theme songs from various past《Gundam》series and incorporates numerous Gundam references.
The collaboration project also invited multiple illustrators to participate in its creation. Illustrations merging Hatsune Miku with famous Gundam mobile suits can be seen in the aforementioned music video and on the official website. The products announced for commercialization this time are「Hatsune Miku x 00 Gundam」by Ixy and「Hatsune Miku x Wing Gundam Zero EW」by neco.
In「Hatsune Miku x 00 Gundam」, the design of 00 Gundam's GN Drive is incorporated into Miku's hair accessory, and the entire scene is the classic flower field from the end of the ending theme『Trust You』.「Hatsune Miku x Wing Gundam Zero EW」combines elements such as the heroineRelena'swhite military uniform and Wing Gundam Zero EW's white wings with Hatsune Miku. Both works are highly anticipated in their three-dimensional form.
