Renowned entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman previously reported in January that Marvel had plans to introduce Clint Barton's comic book brother, Barney Barton, also known as Trickshot (pictured below), into multiple upcoming projects. His debut was slated for the second season of the "Hawkeye" series. Two months later, Richtman has now shared further details about Trickshot and a general story concept for the second season on his Patreon page.

Richtman stated that, according to recent whispers he's heard, "Hawkeye" Season 2 is expected to be very similar to "Die Hard." Much like the first season, the story will again be set during Christmas and unfold in a single location, with Clint and "second-generation Hawkeye" Kate Bishop trapped and fending off a horde of assassins. Trickshot, he added, is set to be the primary antagonist for the second season. However, Richtman also cautioned that this is merely Marvel's current proposal for Season 2's development, and whether it will ultimately materialize remains to be seen.
