Debuting in the 1960s, Spider-Man is arguably the most popular superhero under the Marvel banner today. Diverging from the established superhero comic tropes of the era, the young high school student Peter Parker constantly found himself torn between his dual identities. His internal conflicts and character traits deeply resonated with young readers at the time. Having grown up alongside Peter, Spider-Man naturally became the friendliest neighbor and the most relatable superhero in the hearts of many!
The long-running Marvel Legends series, produced by the internationally renowned toy manufacturer Hasbro, has recently released its latest wave of Spider-Man retro cardback action figures! The Marvel Legends series figures utilize the now-standard 1:12 scale, recreating Marvel's classic characters at a six-inch size. From the original comics and animations to movies and video games, the sheer breadth of its scope is astonishing. Whether it's a superhero with god-like powers or a ruthless supervillain, you can find them all in the Marvel Legends line. It's an absolute must-have series for any Marvel fan. So, without further ado, let's see which characters this Spider-Man retro cardback wave brings us!
▼Here are the stars of today's unboxing, a collection of six figures on retro-style cardbacks.

▼Spider-Man Unlimited, based on the 1999 animated series of the same name from the parallel universe designated Earth-751263. To save Counter-Earth, Peter Parker dons a newly developed nano-suit and joins the resistance against the High Evolutionary.

▼The figure faithfully recreates his look from the animation, using translucent material to replicate the web cape on his back.

▼The patterns on his suit are rendered in sculpted relief, giving it a great sense of depth.

▼The wrists also use newly sculpted, separate parts to replicate his gauntlets.

▼Furthermore, the body mold is the latest version that combines both aesthetics and articulation. Not only does it have incredibly flexible joints, but the pinless body is also unexpectedly beautiful!

▼By making good use of the articulation, you can achieve all sorts of dynamic swinging poses!

▼Chameleon, real name Dmitri Smerdyakov, is the half-brother of Kraven the Hunter. A master of disguise from Russia, his exquisite impersonation skills make him a particularly troublesome supervillain for Spider-Man!

▼This figure's design is based on the 1994 animated series. In addition to his weapons, it includes a J. Jonah Jameson mask that he's in the process of removing.

▼The head sculpt is a highly accurate recreation of his animated appearance, with facial details applied via printing.

▼The included Jameson mask is a first-of-its-kind accessory for the series.

▼It also comes with a pistol and a rifle, offering plenty of options for display and play.

▼Of course, the body mold is also the new pinless version, which is so much more visually pleasing!

▼"I am a master of disguise, and I will imitate Spider-Man's biggest hater." "Alright, Mr. Chameleon, your performance begins now."

▼Spider-Boy, real name Bailey Briggs, was turned into a human-spider hybrid after having spider DNA spliced into him by the maniacal Madame Monstrosity. Possessing powers similar to Peter Parker's, he was rescued and for a time acted as Spider-Man's trusted sidekick, learning from Peter how to be a superhero. However, due to certain events, he was tragically forgotten by everyone. As if he never existed, how will he rediscover himself?

▼It uses a smaller body mold with a child's physique, and it's also the gorgeous pinless version!

▼It includes two interchangeable head sculpts.

▼The articulation is outstanding. Despite its small size, it can easily pull off a wide variety of dynamic poses!

▼Hopefully, this relatively new character will have more room to develop in future stories!

▼Kaine, a clone of Peter Parker created by the villain Jackal, was considered an imperfect creation. Although he inherited the original Peter's abilities, the flaws in the cloning process led to genetic instability, causing cellular degeneration and unexpectedly granting him the special ability to see the future. After struggling with his identity and wavering between good and evil, Kaine adopted the mantle of the new "Scarlet-Spider," becoming a new kind of anti-hero.

▼This figure captures his appearance from the comics, recreating his unique attire and look. The flowing scarf is particularly eye-catching.

▼The head sculpt reproduces the mask Kaine uses to hide his true face.

▼It utilizes a newer, more muscular body mold, with the blue pattern on his suit rendered in sculpted detail.

▼His tragic origin destines him to be a character with a rich story.

▼"This hand of mine is glowing with a brilliant light! It roars for me to defeat you! Take this! The Mark of Kaine!!" (Wrong script)

▼Agent Venom (Flash Thompson), a new identity born from the bonding of Peter's former classmate/bully, Flash Thompson, with the Venom Symbiote. He carries out top-secret missions for the government, such as combating terrorists. Unlike Eddie Brock's Venom, Agent Venom connects with Flash's military background and explores psychological issues like war trauma, allowing the Venom character to be developed from multiple new perspectives.

▼After a decade, we finally have a brand-new version of Agent Venom! The beautiful body mold and the bio-organic texture of the armor are a match made in heaven!

▼It comes with two head sculpts, one masked and one unmasked. You could say this incredibly handsome Flash sculpt looks like a younger President Tr... or Harvey D... from that other company... and you wouldn't be wrong, would you?

▼Looks like he might unconsciously start shouting MAGA?
▼Included weapons are a rifle and a pistol, the latter of which can be stored in the holster on his left leg.

▼Holding the rifle with both hands is perfectly stable, no problem at all.

▼I sincerely hope we get a more complete version in the future with symbiote tendrils...

▼Electro (Francine Frye). Francine was once an obsessive fan of the original Electro, Maxwell Dillon, and other super-criminals. However, she was killed by Electro's out-of-control powers during an encounter. She was later resurrected by the Jackal's cloning technology, simultaneously gaining electro-kinetic abilities similar to Electro's. She then went a step further, absorbing Maxwell's powers and killing him, becoming a colder, more selfish new-generation Electro.

▼More than just a simple gender-swap, this new Electro has a unique story of her own. The figure not only brings this design to life in three dimensions, but the pair of included lightning effect parts are also incredibly striking.

▼The head sculpt, with its smile, perfectly captures Francine's more unhinged personality.

▼The lightning effect parts have C-clip joints, allowing them to be attached to the arms, or you can use the openings to fit them freely onto any limb.

▼No matter how you use them, they look great. She's not called Electro for nothing.

▼"Come on, you stinking spider, how about you take my 100,000 Volts?"

▼And that concludes our unboxing report of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-Man Retro Cardback wave. Spanning across comics, animation, and multiple universes, this is an excellent opportunity to enrich your Spider-Man collection. Spider-Man fans, don't miss out! We'll see you in the next unboxing report!
