Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY's "Nendoroid" series, which features over a thousand characters, is releasing a new themed product—the "Ken Kaneki" action figure—to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the popular anime "Tokyo Ghoul." The suggested retail price is 7,800 JPY, with an estimated release in August 2025!
"Tokyo Ghoul" (トーキョーグール) is a manga series by Sui Ishida serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, Studio Pierrot adapted it into a TV anime, telling the story of ordinary college student Ken Kaneki who, after an accident during a date with a beautiful woman, wakes up to find himself transformed into a man-eating "Ghoul," and his struggle to survive in this cruel world.
This Nendoroid Ken Kaneki stands approximately 10 cm tall and captures Kaneki's awakened form from Episode 12 of the first season of the anime. Despite its cute proportions, it faithfully recreates his iconic white hair, torn clothing, and other details. It comes with two expression options: a serious face and a standard face, both meticulously reproducing his one normal eye and one kakugan eye. Accessories also include bangs with a mask attachment and a kagune made from translucent material, allowing fans to recreate his powerful counterattack against Yamori (Jason) with interchangeable hand and leg parts, such as the finger-cracking pose!
