PLEX Corporation of Japan, produced by X-PLUS Corporation, has announced the latest product in their "Toho Large Monsters" soft vinyl figure series, which features monsters from Toho films. This new release, the "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Godzilla (2001) Fierce Battle Color Ver.", based on the movie "Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack", is scheduled for release in June 2025.
The Godzilla that appeared in "Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" stands 60 meters tall and is set as an aggregate of vengeful spirits sacrificed during the Pacific War. It possesses a ferocious head sculpt, white eyes, and harbors such intense hatred for humanity that it directly unleashes its heat ray upon crowds. Its personality is also quite cruel and cunning; it remembers opponents' attack patterns, feigning vulnerability when they strike again to deliver a fatal blow. In the film, it successively battled three Guardian Monsters and the Japan Self-Defense Forces, sustaining only minor scratches, making it one of the few truly despair-inducing "Gods of Destruction" Godzilla incarnations.
Following the previously announced 'Mothra & Baragon (2001) Fierce Battle Color Ver.', the Godzilla from the film also makes a reappearance with a fierce battle color scheme. This product also features the collaborative work of sculptor Shunsuke Niwa (MONSTER MAKER 28). The overall sculpt is identical to the regular version released in 2018, faithfully recreating the white-eyed design based on the concept of "the most malevolent in history" and a body shape that harks back to the Showa Godzilla's origins, all within an approximate 28 cm height. The entire body is given a new weathered paint application, depicting its appearance after its fierce battle with the three Guardian Monsters.
Furthermore, the figure also incorporates an internal LED light-up mechanism. By inserting batteries and flipping the switch, Godzilla's dorsal fins will illuminate.
