Japan's Bandai Spirits today officially announced its brand-new robot-themed model toy "BLOCKCROSS", and revealed that the first wave, featuring four units from the "Mashin Hero Wataru" series, will be released on April 26, 2025.
"BLOCKCROSS" is composed of the series' common "BLOCK Frame" combined with "CROSS Parts" that recreate the image of each unit. No glue or other tools are required, allowing for easy assembly similar to a model kit. Through the "CROSS BUILD" play style, which allows free combination of parts from each unit, you can unleash your creativity to build your original machine. Furthermore, the "BLOCK Frame" offers customization and expandability, allowing multiple frames to be used to change forms, creating various play styles such as tall-proportioned frames, short-proportioned frames, quadrupedal frames, and more!
The first wave of "Mashin Hero Wataru" series products will feature four Mashin units: "Ryujinmaru (Mashin Hero Wataru)", "Ryujinmaru (Mashin Souseiden Wataru)", "Fujinmaru", and "Kirinmaru". Each unit comes with exclusive weapon accessories that can be posed in conjunction with the frame's articulation.
1. Ryujinmaru (Mashin Hero Wataru)
2. Ryujinmaru (Mashin Souseiden Wataru)
3. Fujinmaru

Additionally, Bandai has teased that the second wave, launching this summer, will include units such as Ryuo Maru (Mashin Souseiden Wataru), Koryu Maru, and Jyakomaru.
