Nicolas Cage, who voiced Spider-Noir in the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" franchise, is set to star as the live-action version of the character in the upcoming "Spider-Noir" series.

As the "Noir" in the title suggests, Spider-Noir inhabits a universe steeped in early 20th-century film noir aesthetics. His attire, exclusively black and white, evokes the classic detectives of the 1930s and 40s. However, "Spider-Noir"'s commitment to its film noir roots appears to go even deeper, with the final product potentially offering a black-and-white version.

Veteran actor Lukas Haas, a cast member in "Spider-Noir," recently discussed the potential black-and-white release plan for the series during an interview with ComingSoon.Net. Haas explained that the series is "very authentic noir," noting that the filmmakers were "capturing long shadows." He believed it might be released in both black-and-white and color, but emphasized that during filming, the monitors displayed in black-and-white, making it look "very, very real." He added that when he looked at the monitors, it felt like he was watching old footage, even though it was live camera feed.

Haas concluded by saying that the team achieved "excellent results" using filters and other techniques to make the visuals truly resemble a 1930s black-and-white film. He also praised the writing and Nicolas Cage's performance, calling it "a really interesting project" and expressing his eagerness to see the final product.
