Director Joe Carnahan, known for action-packed thrillers like "Smokin' Aces," "The Grey," and "The A-Team," recently unveiled the first trailer and promotional poster for his latest feature, "Shadow Force."
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Omar Sy, Andy On, Mark Strong, Kerry Washington, rapper Method Man, "Terminator: Dark Fate" star Natalia Reyes, and Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actress, Da'Vine Joy Randolph. Carnahan co-wrote the screenplay with Leon Chills, a writer for the Netflix series "Spinning Out."

The official synopsis reveals that Kayla and Isaac were once the formidable leaders of a multinational special forces unit known as "Shadow Force." Their forbidden romance led them to break ranks, forcing them underground to protect their son. Now, with a massive bounty on their heads and a vengeful "Shadow Force" relentlessly pursuing them, their fight to defend their family escalates into an all-out war. Distributed by Lionsgate, the film was released in North America on May 9, 2025.
