Japan's SEGA Games' popular brand S-FIRE, dedicated to producing high-quality character figures and merchandise, has once again launched a new product based on the popular anime "Kaiju No. 8" – the "Mina Ashiro Formal Dress Ver." pre-painted complete figure. It has a suggested retail price of 25,850 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2026!
"Kaiju No. 8" is a manga series created by Japanese manga artist Naoya Matsumoto on the web manga platform "Shonen Jump+". In 2024, it was adapted into an anime series by Production I.G. Mina Ashiro is the childhood friend of the protagonist, Kafka Hibino. The two promised from a young age to become members of the Defense Force together and eliminate all Kaiju. However, Kafka gave up on this dream for various reasons, while Mina steadily rose to the position of captain.
This "Mina Ashiro Formal Dress Ver." stands approximately 21.5 cm tall. It adopts the design from episode 5 of the anime, where Mina is seen in her Defense Force formal wear, presenting certificates to new recruits during the induction ceremony. The sculpt showcases her slender physique and meticulously recreates details such as the folds in the Defense Force uniform and the epaulets on her shoulders. While in a relatively static pose, her flowing ponytail adds a sense of dynamism to the overall figure, exuding an elegant aura distinct from the previously released version in her combat uniform!
