World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys will release a new Japan-exclusive product based on the film "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" – the "Galen Erso" 1/6 scale collectible figure. The suggested retail price is 38,000 JPY, limited to 1,500 units, and is expected to be released on April 18, 2025!
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" tells the story of Jyn Erso and Rebel Alliance member Cassian Andor infiltrating Scarif to uncover clues left by Jyn's father, former Imperial scientist Galen Erso, during the design of the Death Star – clues that could destroy the Death Star. The plot perfectly connects to the series' first installment, "Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope," at its conclusion.
This Japan-exclusive Galen Erso 1/6 scale collectible figure stands approximately 31 cm tall and features over 30 points of articulation throughout the body. The head sculpt exquisitely captures the facial features of actor "Uncle Mads" Mads Mikkelsen, with wrinkles, veins, and stubble meticulously reproduced. The eyes also feature independent articulation, allowing for vivid adjustments to Galen's gaze!
The costume features Galen's deep green Imperial uniform worn while serving the Empire in the film, crafted from fabric material to recreate its stiff tailoring. The pleats of the trousers and the shoulder insignia are meticulously reproduced! Accessories include a blaster rifle, Death Star plans data card, a storage drive, and a Death Star holographic effect piece, allowing for various scenes from the film to be recreated.
