Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company HOBBY Division is set to release its latest product from "SD Gundam World Heroes," "SDW HEROES GF Gundam Astraea Type-F," on March 22, 2025. Just before its release, the official site has unveiled new information, including the product's box art design and actual sample images.
Designed by mechanical designer Toshinao Miyauchi, "GF Gundam Astraea Type-F" is based on Gundam Astraea Type-F from the "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" series. It is a hero belonging to the "SUPER G-ARMS" unit, fighting alongside leader Quantum Type GF and GF Gundam Astraea Type-B. Their background pays homage to the organization of the same name from the 1990s "SD Command Chronicle" trilogy, and it is known as the Reiwa version of "SUPER G-ARMS."
Each part of "SDW HEROES GF Gundam Astraea Type-F" meticulously reproduces the detailed, high-density mechanical design, including the cool "SUPER G-ARMS" unit emblem on its forehead. It also utilizes multiple green clear parts to represent weapons such as the rifle and shield, based on the "Proto GN Sword" and "GN Shield," as well as its mask. Large armaments derived from the "Avalanche Dash Unit" are mounted on its shoulders and legs.
Furthermore, this mobile suit conceals a transformation and combination mechanism that links with GF Gundam Astraea Type-B and GF Gundam Astraea Type-F. The three units can be reassembled, including their main bodies and parts, combining into a "General Fortress" form with a total height of approximately 20 cm, making it even larger than the "MG 1/100 Gundam 3.0." Its naming and inspiration also come from "General Gundam" and "Fortress Emperor" from "SD Command Chronicle."
