Produced by Japan's PLEX company and distributed by X-PLUS company, the popular soft vinyl figure "DEFOREAL" series, which incorporates intricate realistic details into a cute deformed (Q-version) proportion, has announced the latest product from "Monster Battle Machine COLOR Godzilla 70th Edition", the "MetalGreymon: G-Invasion Mode", scheduled for release in August 2025.
Scheduled for release in August 2025, "Monster Battle Machine COLOR Godzilla 70th Edition" is a collaborative product launched in partnership with "Digimon" to commemorate the 70th anniversary of "Godzilla". The game software will feature dozens of classic Toho monsters from the "Godzilla" series, and players raising Koromon will have the chance to evolve them into original collaborative Digimon such as "MetalGreymon: G-Invasion Mode", "WarGreymon: G-Invasion Mode", and more.
The "DEFOREAL MetalGreymon: G-Invasion Mode" is crafted in a low-head, Q-version proportion with a total height of 16 cm, recreating MetalGreymon's asymmetrical design with its body invaded by Godzilla cells. While the left side of its body, mechanized head shell, chest, and left arm retain their original forms, the right half of its body and tail have transformed into a likeness of "Millennium Godzilla", and its characteristic wings, along with its back, have grown massive purple dorsal fins.
The sculpting and painting of details such as machinery, skin, and fur are highly realistic. Various colors and painting techniques are used to restore MetalGreymon's blue stripes, the texture and battle damage of its metallic parts, its highly organic yellowish claws, and the purple gradient of its massive dorsal fins, allowing the cute Q-version proportion to present a cool and powerful appearance.
