The renowned poster design and toy company MONDO is set to release a new Marvel Comics-themed product—the "Doctor Doom" soft vinyl toy. With a suggested retail price of 175 USD, pre-orders will open on the MONDO Shop official website on March 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM CT, with an estimated shipping date in October 2025!
Doctor Doom, whose real name is Victor Doom, hails from the fictional nation of Latveria. Proficient in both magic and science, he is the arch-nemesis of the Fantastic Four and has been significantly involved in numerous major events, making him a pivotal supervillain in the Marvel Universe. Robert Downey Jr., the actor who plays Iron Man, also announced his return to portray Doctor Doom at last year's San Diego Comic-Con, sending fans worldwide into a frenzy!
This Doctor Doom soft vinyl toy stands approximately 25.4 cm tall and presents his comic book appearance in a stylized manner, giving him an extremely muscular physique. The sculpt faithfully recreates the iconic green robe and the intricate details on his silver armor. Metallic paint is used to replicate the shining silver of the armor, and shadows on the robe are partially deepened to enhance his overall imposing presence! His eyes are sculpted to gaze downwards, showcasing his commanding aura as a monarch!
The figure features simple articulation at the head, shoulders, and hips. Accessories include two sets of interchangeable hands, a pistol, and a set of Thanos's head and spine accessories, allowing collectors to recreate the powerful scene from Secret Wars where he rips out Thanos's spine!
