Bandai's GASHAPON division will release a new product based on the popular anime 'Fullmetal Alchemist' – the "Fullmetal Alchemist Capsule Figure Collection" gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in late July 2025!
'Fullmetal Alchemist' is a manga series by "Cow Mom" Hiromu Arakawa, serialized in 'Monthly Shonen Gangan' from 2001 to 2010. It was adapted twice into TV anime by BONES in 2003 and 2009. The story follows the protagonist Elric brothers who, longing for their deceased mother, touched upon the forbidden "Human Transmutation" and lost everything. To reclaim what they lost, the two embark on a journey to find the Philosopher's Stone, which can overcome the limitations of equivalent exchange.
This "Fullmetal Alchemist Capsule Figure Collection" transforms popular characters from the series into approximately 4.5 cm tall figures. It includes four types: Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Roy Mustang, and Riza Hawkeye. Despite their roughly two-head-tall proportions, their design details are faithfully sculpted, and they are given simple dynamic poses. Each comes with a dedicated base, so even with their large heads and small bodies, they won't tip over, making them super cute when lined up!
