"Arcade machines from that era are back...!" Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd. GASHAPON capsule toy division, using SEGA's popular arcade machine "Astro City" as its theme, is launching its latest product: the "Astro City Miniature Light Plus ~SEGA Arcade Game History~" capsule toy series. There are 10 types in total, with a suggested retail price of 500 JPY per capsule, scheduled to be released in late April 2025!
Miniaturizing and recreating the "Astro City" arcade game that was all the rage in the 90s! The "Astro City Miniature Light Plus ~SEGA Arcade Game History~" capsule toys faithfully reproduce the arcade machine's design in a capsule size of only about 6 cm tall, and feature a built-in LED light device, bringing back 10 classic arcade game titles! Including: Fantasy Zone, Puyo Puyo 2, and Virtua Fighter 2. These three models are special Plus Sound specifications; pressing the button on the back will not only light up the screen but also play the game's background music!
Additionally, there's a rich lineup of classic games including: Golden Axe, Alien Storm, Columns, PUZZLE & ACTION Tant-R, Fighting Vipers 2, Last Bronx - Tokyo Bangaichi, and Dynamite Deka! Collect the entire set and arrange them to recreate the familiar arcade hall of yesteryear~
