The "Final Destination" franchise is back after 14 years with its latest installment, "Final Destination: Bloodlines," which today unveiled its second official trailer. The new footage features the first appearance of Tony Todd, reprising his role as the enigmatic coroner William Bludworth. Todd, who made memorable cameo appearances in the first, second, and fifth films, sadly passed away last year, making this one of his final posthumous works.
This chapter follows college student Stephanie, who is tormented by recurring violent nightmares. She decides to return to her hometown, seeking the only person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from an inescapable, terrifying fate. The film is slated for a May 16th release in North America.

"Bloodlines" is directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, known for their work on the live-action "Kim Possible" TV movie. Jon Watts, director of the MCU "Spider-Man" trilogy, penned the story outline and serves as executive producer alongside his agent wife, Dianne McGunigle. The screenplay was primarily written by Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick, co-writer of "Ready or Not."
Reports indicate that the film's plot will delve into Bludworth's background and childhood memories, exploring why he possesses such profound knowledge of Death's intricate designs, to the point of almost becoming its harbinger.
