Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY, known for its "Nendoroid" series featuring over a thousand characters, is once again releasing a new product based on the popular classic anime "Ranma ½" following the previous "Ranma Saotome (Female) / Ranma". This new item is the "Akane Tendo" articulated figure, with a suggested retail price of 6,500 JPY, slated for release in November 2025!
"Ranma ½" is a manga series by Japanese mangaka Rumiko Takahashi, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from 1987 to 1996. It was adapted into a TV anime by STUDIO DEEN in 1989, and in 2024, MAPPA produced a second anime adaptation. The story revolves around the hilarious and chaotic daily lives of Ranma Saotome, a boy who turns into a girl when splashed with cold water and reverts to a boy with hot water due to falling into a cursed spring during training, and his fiancée Akane Tendo, as they face various romantic entanglements and martial arts challenges.
This Nendoroid Akane Tendo stands approximately 10 cm tall and features her classic short hairstyle from the series. The sculpting faithfully recreates the details of her blue dress and inner shirt in an adorable proportion! For expressions, three types are included: a smiling face, an angry face, and a blushing face. The accessories also include the super cute black pig P-chan (Ryoga), which can be displayed with the previously released male and female Ranma figures to recreate various charming interactions from the show!
