In the 2017 film "Kong: Skull Island," Kong was revered by the Iwi tribe as the god and guardian of Skull Island, responsible for combating various large carnivorous creatures, especially the ferocious group of monsters that had long hidden beneath the island's hollow earth and annihilated Kong's family and companions – the Skullcrawlers!
