Last February, Academy Award-winning director Sam Mendes, known for "Skyfall," unveiled his ambitious four-part "Beatles" biopic project, with each installment focusing on a single band member and all slated for release in the same year. After nearly a year of casting and pre-production, Sony Pictures officially announced today at CinemaCon that the quadrilogy will now debut simultaneously in April 2028, a slight shift from the initially planned 2027 release. Mendes, who was present at the event, described it as a first-of-its-kind cinematic "binge-watching" experience for theaters, revealing that the entire production will span a full year.

Regarding casting, Paul Mescal is confirmed to portray Paul McCartney, and Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr, both roles having been previously hinted at by the real-life musicians themselves. Today, Sony further solidified the lineup, confirming earlier rumors that Joseph Quinn will star as George Harrison and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. This landmark project also marks the first narrative feature film to secure official music rights from all members of The Beatles.
