The "Star Wars" franchise previously released two distinct short-form anthology series, "Tales of the Jedi" and "Tales of the Empire." This year, a third anthology, "Tales of the Underworld," is set to debut, shifting its focus to bounty hunters and assassins. Lucasfilm recently dropped the first trailer and key art for the upcoming series.
Like "Tales of the Jedi" and "Tales of the Empire," "Tales of the Underworld" will feature a total of six episodes, scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on May 4th, also known as "Star Wars Day."

The series will spotlight two iconic characters: Asajj Ventress, the assassin who once served Count Dooku, and the notorious bounty hunter Cad Bane. Each character will have three dedicated episodes within the six-part season. Dave Filoni, who has helmed numerous "Star Wars" projects including "The Mandalorian" and "Ahsoka," returns as the showrunner for this series. Nika Futterman reprises her role as the voice of Asajj Ventress, while Corey Burton returns to voice Cad Bane.
