The Rise of the Primes, A New Era Dawns! Hasbro Transformers Generations "Age of the Primes" First Wave Unboxing Report

Launched by the internationally renowned manufacturer "Hasbro," "Transformers" has been deeply loved by a vast fan base since the premiere of the G1 animation in 1984. After more than forty years of refinement, the physical toys, which are integral to the cartoons, have naturally undergone significant technological advancements. Among these, the "Generations" series, which redesigns and reinterprets famous characters from numerous past works with contemporary technology, has become a classic reimagining in the hearts of many players. After the "War for Cybertron Trilogy" and "Legacy" officially concluded, the Generations series is about to enter a brand new realm, launching a new series – leading players to rediscover the ancient myths of Cybertron and the legendary Thirteen Primes. That's right! We officially announce: the "Age of the Primes" has arrived!

In the mythology of Cybertron, the benevolent creator god 「普萊瑪斯」(Primus, or also translated as Yuan Shi Tian Zun) and the chaotic devourer 「尤尼克隆」(Unicron, or also translated as Cosmic Emperor) were locked in an eternal struggle. Ultimately, Primus successfully sealed Unicron and transformed himself into a planet – which is 賽博坦(Cybertron) – creating the Thirteen Primes to protect the universe and prevent Unicron's resurgence. Time flew by, and the Thirteen Primes underwent generational changes and branched out, eventually giving birth to the Transformers world we know. Now, the Generations series will once again lead us back to the ancient era, to witness the golden age when the Thirteen Primes governed Cybertron. Today, let's follow Toy People's unboxing report and take a look at this brand new "Age of the Primes" series!

▼Hasbro's official full-version Age of the Primes artwork, encompassing the thirteen ancestral Primes who profoundly influenced Transformers history. For collectors, being able to collect all the ancient Thirteen Primes in this series is truly wonderful and fortunate!

▼The protagonists of this unboxing include four 「豪華戰將」(Deluxe Class) figures, two 「巡弋戰將」(Voyager Class) figures, and two 「無敵戰將」(Leader Class) figures. With the launch of the new Age of the Primes series, the outer packaging has also been adjusted from a semi-open style to a more collectible, plastic-protected packaging method.

▼The sides of the outer box feature meticulously drawn character portraits, which are not only gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing but also convenient for collectors to store and identify.

▼The other side features the aforementioned golden statue illustration of the Thirteen Primes.

▼「十三至尊-至尊索拉斯」(The Thirteen Solus Prime), the progenitor of female Transformers, and also the goddess of craftsmanship with supreme skill and creativity. She wields the Prime artifact 「熔爐神槌」(Forge Hammer), capable of forging various incredible divine artifacts. All weapons and armor held by the Primes are products of her creativity and skillful hands. This toy marks Solus Prime's first appearance with a complete transformable independent mold and exclusive divine artifact, making it highly anticipated by fans.

▼In terms of design, the overall appearance largely adopts the look seen in the 2018 animated series 《變形金剛:天元之力》(Transformers: Power of the Primes).

▼The head sculpt faithfully recreates the feminine and graceful face of Solus Prime, with sculpted details resembling hair even on the back of the head.

▼The Forge of Solus Prime is emblazoned with Solus Prime's exclusive insignia. This little Easter egg appears on every one of the Thirteen Primes in this series, so keep an eye out for it!

▼The articulation is exceptionally well-designed; even the apron, which might seem to interfere with leg movement, features separate joints that can be rotated away, a truly thoughtful detail!

▼In vehicle mode, she transforms into a Cybertronian-style mini truck. The purple and gold color scheme truly highlights her noble demeanor.

▼"Fugitive Wasp" (Fugitive Wapinator), inspired by the 2008 "Transformers: Animated" series. Originally named Wasp, he was a fellow cadet with Bumblebee, possessing exceptional marksmanship. However, he later became a fugitive and a wanted criminal after being framed, and his hatred for Bumblebee drove him to transform into a deranged, vengeful monster.

▼The toy itself pays homage to the animated series' design, utilizing the Legacy Animated Bumblebee mold with a color scheme change and a new head sculpt, recreating his appearance before he completely succumbed to madness.

▼The head sculpt highly restores his appearance from the original animation.

▼The combination of his signature weapons, "Stingers," and rocket boosters provides him with a wide range of playability.

▼In vehicle mode, the compact and adorable hatchback is absolutely endearing, but...Wasp doesn't like it!

▼"Aerialbot Air Raid", a member of the G1 animated Aerialbots. He is a sky warrior passionate about high-altitude dive attacks, pursuing speed and thrills. Though somewhat impulsive and reckless, he remains an indispensable force within the team.

▼This toy is an entirely new mold, recreating Air Raid's heroic image from the animation.

▼The head sculpt is also full of retro charm. That G1 flavor, that's the one!

▼It comes with two rifles as weapons, and the articulation is quite excellent!

▼In vehicle mode, it transforms into an F-15-esque fighter jet. What? You're asking about combination? Let's wait for the entire team to reunite before we truly have some fun!

▼"Aerialbot Slingshot", also a member of the G1 Aerialbot team. He is skilled in tactics such as rapid assaults and low-altitude strikes. He loves to show off, sometimes arrogant, sometimes conceited, but his insecurity often leads him to talk excessively to mask his inner unease.

▼The robot mode faithfully recreates Slingshot's appearance from the animation and comes with a pair of twin-barreled rifles as weaponry.

▼The head, with its classic "white toast sandwich" color scheme, is also perfectly reproduced.

▼Articulation demonstration: flexible joints, perfect for both dynamic poses and static displays!

▼In vehicle mode, it transforms into a fighter jet resembling a Sea Harrier. The black line down the center of the fuselage and the wing decals are also faithfully recreated.

▼It's worth noting that both Air Raid and Slingshot feature retractable front landing gear, a delightful little detail. We're truly looking forward to the Aerialbot team's full assembly!

▼"The Thirteen Prima Prime", the first Transformer created by Primus, wields the divine weapon "Star Saber" and the "Matrix of Leadership." Entrusted with the crucial mission of leading the Primes to protect the universe, possessing both wisdom and courage, Prima Prime is arguably the closest being to Primus.

▼Its design is inspired by the 2013 publication "Transformers: The Covenant of Primus" and brought to life with a new interpretation. Like Solus Prime, this is the first standalone fully three-dimensional rendition of Prima Prime.

▼The head sculpt references the G1 animation, specifically the "Powerful Robot" whose name was not mentioned but is speculated to be Prima Prime.

▼The chest can be opened to store the Matrix of Leadership.

▼The divine Star Saber, crafted from transparent material, can combine with the Matrix of Leadership. Naturally, the hilt also features Prima Prime's exclusive emblem.

▼As the strongest Prime, its articulation certainly cannot be outdone by others. Big Brother hasn't lost, Big Brother cannot lose!!!

▼In vehicle mode, it transforms into a Cybertronian-style lunar truck, and can also store the Star Saber within.

▼The instructions also mention an additional play feature for a hovercar mode, which can be easily achieved by slightly adjusting the angle of the wheels!

▼"Red Alert" (Autobot Red Alert), from the 2002 animated series "Transformers: Armada," is the Autobots' medical officer and also a calm and composed technical expert. He is highly skilled in tactical planning and analysis, making him a super support character with maxed-out intelligence.

▼Recreating the appearance and image from the original animation with a brand new mold, the asymmetrical design of his left arm is particularly striking.

▼The head sculpt features a light-up gimmick, which can be easily activated by shining a light from the back of the head.

▼Naturally, the articulation has also evolved beyond imagination, allowing for diverse weapon play through part swapping!

▼In vehicle mode, it faithfully reproduces Red Alert's ambulance mode, with transparent parts being quite eye-catching.

▼Weapon accessories such as the hand cannon and missiles also have designated storage locations, allowing them to be hidden in vehicle form.

▼I truly hope there's a chance to complete his Mini-con partner "Longarm" as well! (Longarm? Wasp says, Wasp doesn't like it)

▼"G2 Universe Grimlock & Autobot Wheelie", the leader of the Dinobots and the drifting space wanderer, form an alliance once again in the G2 Universe. Utilizing the mold from the Studio Series, and repainted in the G2 color scheme released in 1992.

▼A double-barreled rifle is included as a weapon. Me Grimlock, me powerful!

▼The head sculpt features the more familiar black head and red eyes color scheme. The chest also utilizes transparent parts to convey a multi-layered effect.

▼Rhyming genius Slingshot, whose speech comes with its own effects, is also a simple articulated version and comes with his signature slingshot, which can be connected to Grimlock via the leg pegs.

▼No matter the color scheme, I, Grimlock, am just super cool, wild, and awesome!

▼Robot Tyrannosaurus Rex mode. Isn't this adorably goofy dinosaur face precisely Grimlock's most endearing feature?

▼"I, Grimlock, am ready to chomp a hundred Decepticon trash!" "Slingshot will also shoot a hundred eyes, to keep us happy all day long!"

▼"The Thirteen Primes - Megatronus The Fallen" (The Thirteen Megatronus The Fallen), the guardian of Entropy created by Primus. As the most powerful warrior among the Thirteen Primes, he could be considered the last trump card against Unicron. However, his conscience and reason were consumed by endless rage. Ultimately, Megatronus, carrying his "Requiem Blaster," walked towards Unicron, hidden in the darkness, becoming "The Fallen" who betrayed his brethren.

▼The design references the comic "Transformers: War Within: The Dark Ages," published by Dreamwave in 2003. With a black and purple base, augmented by fiercely burning rage, it can be said to be the perfect image of The Fallen.

▼A face like a molten furnace, as if one can feel his endless resentment and fury.

▼The flame effect parts on the shoulders and back are made of transparent material and can be freely removed according to preference.

▼Megatronus's emblem is also indispensable on the Requiem Blaster.

▼He can wield a scythe and a Spark Fuser.

▼As the most powerful Prime, possessing a Requiem Blaster capable of destroying stars and planets is perfectly logical, isn't it?

▼The long gun and the blade can also combine to form an even more powerful weapon.

▼Effect parts can also be attached to the muzzle of the Requiem Blaster to experience The Fallen's scorching, mad fury!

▼In tank mode, the flame effects can also be mounted on both sides of the turret. Wherever you are, presence and an imposing aura are essential!

▼The turret can not only rotate left and right but also adjust the elevation and depression angle of the barrel. A large-sized, boss-level character is indeed incredibly satisfying to play with!

▼And that concludes this unboxing report for the first wave of the Transformers Generations "Prime Wars" series. Let's continue to look forward to the arrival of other Primes, each with their unique abilities! See you at the next unboxing!
