SEGA Prize, a brand under Japan's SEGA Games Co., Ltd., will release a new product in its "Chokonose Premium" series: a "Ryu" sitting pose figure based on the popular fighting game "Street Fighter 6". It is scheduled to be released as a prize item in late May 2025!
Ryu is a martial artist who constantly travels and trains himself in search of stronger opponents, learning the "Ansatsuken" (Assassination Fist) style. In previous installments, Ryu continuously struggled with the "Satsui no Hado" (Surge of Murderous Intent) within him; if he couldn't control it, he would completely lose his sanity and become a ruthless killing machine. Now, Ryu has successfully overcome the "Satsui no Hado" and will continue to strive for greater heights.
This Chokonose Premium Ryu figure stands approximately 14 cm tall and features Ryu's ronin-esque appearance from "Street Fighter 6". It captures him in a dominant sitting pose with his hands on his hips, showcasing his incredibly muscular arms. The figure also meticulously sculpts the flowing movement of his torn 袈裟 (kesa) on his shoulder and the intricate details of his straw sandals tied around his feet. The fabric textures on his 袈裟 and gi pants, as well as the "Fūrin Kazan" (Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain) characters on his black belt, are all exquisitely reproduced! The paint application uses a spray technique to deepen some of the shadows, giving the overall appearance a more stable and imposing feel. Even in a simple sitting pose, he exudes an undeniable and powerful presence!
