After a significant hiatus, "The Angry Birds Movie" franchise, which last saw an installment nearly seven years ago, is officially returning. Today, the third film was surprisingly announced, with a release date set for January 29, 2027. However, Sony Pictures, which handled distribution for the first two films, has exited the project. Paramount Pictures is now confirmed to take over distribution duties.
The returning voice cast from the first two films includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride. John Rice, who co-directed the second installment, is also set to return to direct.

Additionally, a host of new talent has been announced to join the voice cast, featuring Emma Myers (known for her role as Enid Sinclair in "Wednesday"), Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Walker Scobell, Nikki Glaser, Anna Cathcart, James Austin Johnson, Psalm West, and Sam Richardson, among others.
