Kōki,, daughter of Japanese superstar Takuya Kimura, is gaining significant attention in the film world and is now expanding her career to the West with her latest English-language feature, "Tornado." Lionsgate UK is distributing the film and has just released the first official trailer. This marks the second feature film from writer-director John Maclean, his first in a decade since the critically acclaimed indie Western "Slow West."

The cast of "Tornado" also includes Tim Roth, Jack Lowden, Rory McCann, Jack Morris, Douglas Russell, and Takehiro Hira. Set in 1790, the story follows a young woman played by Kōki,, the leader of a Japanese puppet troupe and the daughter of a samurai. When a violent gang of thieves massacres her family and the troupe, she is forced to fight back for survival. The film is slated for a UK release, with a wider international rollout yet to be announced.
