PLEX Co., Ltd. of Japan, manufactured and distributed by X-PLUS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product in its "Real Master Collection" series, a finished model that extensively reproduces prototype details using PUR material: "King Joe Renewal Ver." from "Ultraman Seven", scheduled for release in June 2025.
The classic rival from "Ultraman Seven", "Space Robot King Joe", is a super robot built by the Pedan aliens. It is constructed from ultra-high-strength cosmic alloy and can deploy a full-body protective shield, rendering Ultraman Seven's attacks almost ineffective and putting him in a tough battle. King Joe also possesses powerful combat abilities and a strong destructive beam. The entire unit can separate into four UFOs, each capable of flight and underwater travel. Its only discernible weakness is its inability to get up once knocked down. It was finally defeated by the "Raidon R30 Bomb", developed with the assistance of Pedan alien scientist Dr. Dorothy.
"RMC King Joe Renewal Ver." uses the same prototype as the "Large Monster Series King Joe" released in 2012. The main material has been replaced with PUR to extensively reproduce sharp details close to the original prototype, recreating the mechanical design of King Joe's suit at a height of approximately 25 cm.
The highlight of the Renewal version is the addition of a lighting mechanism. When the dedicated base is powered by USB Type-C, the built-in LED lights illuminate, replicating the alternating lights on the head and the flashing lights on the chest. Furthermore, a metal nameplate can be attached to the base, allowing it to be displayed like a museum collectible.
