Netflix Orders "Pride and Prejudice" Limited Series: "The Crown" Stars Emma Corrin, Olivia Colman Reunite with Jack Lowden

Every generation gets its own interpretation of Jane Austen. Following the 2022 film adaptation of "Persuasion," Netflix is now assembling a stellar cast for a new take on another Austen classic, "Pride and Prejudice," this time as a limited series. The series recently unveiled three key cast members: Jack Lowden, alongside "The Crown" co-stars Emma Corrin and Academy Award winner Olivia Colman.

Lowden is set to portray the iconic Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, with Corrin as the spirited Elizabeth Bennet, and Colman as Mrs. Bennet. The season will comprise six episodes. This adaptation is penned by British author Dolly Alderton, with Euros Lyn, known for directing "Heartstopper," at the helm. Production is slated to begin this year in the UK. Additionally, Corrin will serve as an executive producer, marking her first time in such a role.
