WETA Workshop, the world-renowned TV and film special effects company, has announced a new addition to its 1/6 scale "Classic Series" from "The Lord of the Rings": the "Boromir" 1/6 scale full body statue! Shipping is expected to begin in Q4 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$399.

Boromir is the eldest son of Denethor II, the Steward of Gondor, and his father's care and expectations for Boromir far surpassed those for his younger brother, Faramir. In the film "The Fellowship of the Ring," Boromir, to protect Merry and Pippin, rose repeatedly despite severe injuries, fighting until his last breath! Boromir once succumbed to the temptation of the One Ring, attempting to attack Frodo and seize it, seemingly embodying humanity as a race with a fragile will.
However, in the novel and the director's extended cut of the film, there are many heroic descriptions of Boromir as the "Captain of the White Tower" of Gondor, fully showcasing his image as a protector of the people of Gondor and a loving brother, truly a man of honor.

This piece stands approximately 32.5 cm tall and is based on the scene from the film where Boromir picks up the One Ring dropped by Frodo, as the Fellowship of the Ring traverses the Path of Caradhras in the Misty Mountains. Boromir gazes at the Ring, unable to tear his eyes away. While the film only shows close-ups of Boromir's head and right hand, this statue completes the action of "Aragorn preparing to draw his sword until Boromir returns the Ring to Frodo," as Boromir's left hand is subtly placed on his sword hilt while he stares at the Ring. Furthermore, the character's expression, attire, round shield, horn, and other details are meticulously sculpted, and the snowy base scene is truly impressive.
