Three years after navigating a high-profile defamation trial, Johnny Depp is making his highly anticipated return to Hollywood with "Day Drinker," his first major studio project since parting ways with Disney and Warner Bros.. The film recently began principal photography in Spain, and Lionsgate has already unveiled the first official still, offering a sneak peek at Depp's character, sporting a gray-haired and bearded look (pictured below).

"Day Drinker" is helmed by Marc Webb, known for directing Disney's live-action "Snow White" and "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise. The screenplay was penned by Zach Dean, writer of "The Tomorrow War". The story centers on a private yacht bartender who unexpectedly crosses paths with a mysterious "day drinker," leading them into a dark criminal conspiracy.

Depp portrays the enigmatic day drinker, while Penélope Cruz takes on the role of a dangerous criminal figure. This marks the fourth collaboration between longtime friends Depp and Cruz, who previously appeared together in "Blow," "Murder on the Orient Express," and "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
