Legendary Pictures has begun unveiling a new wave of cast members for the third "Godzilla" and "Kong" combined film, officially titled "Godzilla x Kong: Supernova." The latest addition to the roster is Sam Neill, renowned for his role as Dr. Alan Grant in the "Jurassic Park" franchise. While his character's identity remains under wraps, speculation suggests he might continue his iconic image as a dinosaur scholar, possibly transitioning into an expert in kaiju research.

Grant Sputore, director of "I Am Mother," takes the helm for this installment, succeeding Adam Wingard, who directed the previous two films. Dave Callaham, who co-wrote the 2014 "Godzilla," returns to pen the screenplay.

The film is slated for a North American release on March 26, 2027.
