Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero's "DLX" series, known for producing high-quality mecha action figures, is releasing a new product based on "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" – the "Optimus Primal (Beast Wars Universe Ver.)" action figure. The suggested retail price is yet to be announced, it will be limited to 1,600 units worldwide, and is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2025!
"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" is adapted from the 1996 Transformers spin-off animated series "Beast Wars: Transformers" and its original toy line. In the story, the Autobots and Maximals unite to face threats from the Terrorcons, sent by Unicron. The leader of the Maximals, "Optimus Primal," was originally conceived as a direct descendant of the legendary Autobot leader Optimus Prime, and the film also explains that his name "Optimus Primal" is a variation of Optimus Prime.
This DLX Optimus Primal (Beast Wars Universe Ver.) stands approximately 28.5 cm tall. It is based on Optimus Primal's movie appearance, incorporating design elements from "Beast Wars." It presents the previously released DLX Optimus Primal in the iconic red, blue, and black color scheme from the animation, faithfully recreating the intricate mechanical structure from the film, and features LED light-up eyes. This new version adds a pair of adjustable "Super Cannons" that can be mounted on the back, and for the first time in the DLX series, includes a "firing feature," allowing projectiles to be launched from the cannons. Furthermore, it comes with a pair of magnetic twin machine gun cannons that can be attached to the arms, significantly enhancing his long-range firepower!
Accessories include three pairs of interchangeable hands, three interchangeable faceplates to display different modes, and two short scimitars that can be combined into a single weapon. The limited edition will also include an additional Skull Flail, paying homage to the original Optimus Primal toy!
