Jay Roach, the acclaimed director behind the "Austin Powers" trilogy and the "Meet the Parents" franchise, has unveiled the first trailer for his latest comedy, "The Roses." The film is a contemporary remake of the 1989 dark comedy "The War of the Roses," which famously starred Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas. That original cinematic hit was adapted from American author Warren Adler's 1981 novel of the same name. Both stories delve into the lives of a seemingly blissful and successful couple who, beneath their polished exterior, harbor deep-seated resentment for each other, ultimately spiraling into a bitter and escalating divorce battle.
