Aoshima Bunka Kyozai's Movie Mecha (ムービーメカ) series is launching a new product based on the classic film "Back to the Future Part III" – the "DeLorean Time Machine Railroad Version" 1/24 scale assembly model, with a suggested retail price of 7,260 JPY, scheduled for release in September 2025!
The story of "Back to the Future Part III" continues from the second installment, recounting how Marty, in order to save Doc who was accidentally sent to the past and is in mortal danger, once again enlists the help of the 1955 Doc to send himself to 1885, where he confronts the local bully "Mad Dog" Tannen. In the film, with no fuel and no electricity, Doc and Marty decide to place the DeLorean Time Machine on a railroad track and use a locomotive to push it to reach 88 miles per hour (142 kilometers per hour), sending them back to the present.
This assembly model faithfully recreates the scene where the DeLorean Time Machine is placed on the railroad track in 1/24 scale plastic. The completed body length is approximately 18.4 cm, meticulously reproducing the train-specific wheels installed on the DeLorean Time Machine for rail travel, as well as the detailed parts tied to the hood. The gull-wing doors are articulated and can be opened upon completion, and Marty's walkie-talkie is included. The base exquisitely replicates the railway and gravel texture, allowing for a perfect recreation of the cinematic moment that moved audiences when the DeLorean Time Machine is placed upon it!
Furthermore, pre-ordering the official website exclusive edition from Aoshima Bunka Kyozai's online store will include a total of four mini figures of Doc and Marty for display!
