Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s Candy Division, BANDAI CANDY, will release a new product based on the classic anime "Hamtaro" – the "Hamtaro Flocked Character Figures." The suggested retail price is 540 JPY per box, with an anticipated release in September 2025!
"Hamtaro" is a work created by manga artist Ritsuko Kawai. It was adapted into a TV anime by TMS Entertainment in 2000, chronicling the fun daily lives of Hamtaro, a curious golden hamster owned by fifth-grader Laura Haruna, and his pet hamster friends he meets in his new environment after moving!
This "Hamtaro Flocked Character Figures" series transforms Hamtaro and his friends into adorable mini-figures. From the 3D rendered product images preemptively released by BANDAI CANDY, we can see a total of six types included: Hamtaro, Bijou, Pashmina, Boss, Maxwell, and Stan. The flocked material provides a truly unique visual and tactile experience, echoing the hamsters' fluffy appearance, allowing you to enjoy the feeling of holding and petting them in your hands. Each figure also comes with a dedicated base for stable display! The food component includes one soda-flavored chewing gum, so toy enthusiasts can enjoy both eating and playing!
