TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from the mobile game 'Super Robot Wars DD', the 'Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion', from its popular alloy and ABS pre-painted finished product series 'GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE', thoroughly supervised by renowned mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME. It is scheduled for release in December 2025. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The collaboration-exclusive unit, Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion, originates from the 'Pilot Swap Vol. 2' event held in 2020 in the game 'Super Robot Wars DD'. It reimagines the protagonist unit 'Wing Gundam Zero EW' from 'Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz' as a dedicated machine for 'ZERO', the leader of the Black Knights, who is the protagonist Lelouch from 'Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion', achieving a ZERO X ZERO cross-over.
Upon its initial appearance, the 'Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion' only featured modified color schemes, adopting the same black palette as other units ZERO had piloted, such as the Gawain and Shinkiro. Its characteristic angelic wings were changed to a blood-red, reminiscent of a demonic image. However, coinciding with this model kit's commercialization project, the 'Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion' will also make a re-appearance in 'Super Robot Wars DD', with newly added weapon designs that incorporate the style of Lancelot, allowing the fresh 'Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion' to debut both in-game and as a physical product simultaneously!
The 'G.F.F.M.C. Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion' is based on the previously released original Wing Gundam Zero EW. Its overall sculpt and color application are thoroughly supervised by KATOKI HAJIME, featuring multiple gloss levels, varying shades of black, and two shades of gold to express its striking armor design. The magnificent wine-red wings can be expanded to reveal a brighter red internal structure. Additionally, various parts of the body are adorned with markings designed by KATOKI HAJIME.
The newly designed armaments by KATOKI HAJIME from the game are also rendered in three dimensions for this product using new parts. They cleverly fuse the weapons of 'Wing Gundam Zero EW' and 'Lancelot' from their respective original works, including the 'Super VARI Buster Rifle', which combines the Twin Buster Rifle with the Super VARIS; the 'MV Saber', which merges the Beam Saber with the MVS; and an original long-handled weapon exclusive to the G.F.F.M.C. model, the 'F.L.E.I.J.A. Eliminator', which is similar to the nuclear warhead disabler from the original 'Code Geass' series.
The 'Super VARI Buster Rifle' not only features a twin-rifle combination mechanism but also recreates the two-stage transformation mechanism of the Super VARIS's expanding barrel. The 'MV Saber' boasts an ornate hilt with an expansion mechanism, capable of attaching high-output beam effects. Furthermore, the 'Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion' retains its Neo-Bird Mode transformation mechanism and can mount all three original weapons introduced with this release onto its body.
