TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., officially announced today (21st) the sales information for the highly anticipated new product from its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, themed around "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters"—the "Yami Yugi" action figure. It will have a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY and is scheduled for release in October 2025!
"Yu-Gi-Oh!" (遊☆戯☆王) is a manga series by Japanese manga artist Kazuki Takahashi, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1996 to 2004, and adapted into a TV anime by Toei Animation in 1999. The protagonist, Yugi Muto, is skilled in various types of games and toys, including video games and board games. After spending eight years solving the Millennium Puzzle he received from his grandfather, he becomes possessed by the spirit of a Pharaoh residing within the puzzle, becoming Yugi's second personality, Yami Yugi, whom Yugi himself refers to as "the other me."
This S.H.Figuarts Yami Yugi action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating Yugi's unique geometric hairstyle and slender physique. It features finely sculpted arm musculature and wrinkles on his vest and trousers. Details such as the silver rivet accents and the card holder on the side of his belt are also exquisitely reproduced. His iconic jacket is presented as a single accessory, and its flowing dynamic form exudes a powerful presence even when simply draped!
In addition to the jacket, accessories also include seven pairs of interchangeable hands, four interchangeable face parts, the Millennium Puzzle worn on his chest, and the Duel Disk, most crucial for duels. It also comes with a super cool Sacred Comet Reflect Force effect part, which can be used to recreate powerful and visually striking scenes when activating a Trap Card! Furthermore, Yugi absolutely must be displayed alongside the previously released S.H.MonsterArts Dark Magician and Red-Eyes Black Dragon to recreate the powerful summoning poses of his monsters! And considering the previously released S.H.MonsterArts Blue-Eyes White Dragon, we can surely look forward to Seto Kaiba joining the S.H.Figuarts lineup for a passionate duel with Yugi!
