Following Magi King, the popular assembly model candy toy series "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT", released by Japan's Bandai Toy Company's candy toy division BANDAI CANDY, has once again announced its second product from "Mahou Sentai Magiranger": "Majin Gattai Wolkaiser", slated for release in September 2025.
Wolkaiser was originally a giant robot formed by the Majin Gattai (Demon God Combination) of "Magic Knight Wolzard," an executive dispatched by the Magiranger's enemy, "Infresia," and his steed, "Magic Horse Barikion." In the first half of the series, it obstructed the Magirangers with overwhelming power. Later, it was revealed that Wolzard was actually Isamu Ozu, the long-lost father of the five rangers. After being freed from Infresia's brainwashing, although his appearance could not be changed, Isamu Ozu still used this power to fight alongside his children, and at the end of the series, he transformed into "Heavenly Hero Wolzard Fire" through the power of a spell.
The "SMP Majin Gattai Wolkaiser" product includes both Magic Knight Wolzard and Magic Horse Barikion. The kit utilizes multi-color molded parts and stickers, inheriting the excellent transformation and combination design of the past DX toy version, and significantly enhancing the range of motion for each part through SMP's unique mechanisms.
Magic Knight Wolzard boasts a cool physique and detailed sculpting. With a significant addition of articulated parts, it features a total of 24 points of articulation, including a newly designed mechanism in the knees that allows for 180-degree horizontal rotation, enabling flexible poses with his saber and shield.
Magic Horse Barikion faithfully recreates the impressive and cool design of the DX version. Articulated joints have been added to the front legs, allowing for dynamic poses such as bent front legs and galloping stances. In addition to allowing the Magic Knight to ride on its back, it also features a transformation and combination mechanism to recreate the centaur-like "Wolkentaurus Form" and the giant demon god "Wolkaiser Form."
Furthermore, Magic Horse Barikion can link with the Magic Phoenix from the separately sold "SMP Magi King," replacing the Magic Knight to recreate "Friendship Gattai Fire Kaiser" or its centaur form.
