Andrew Garfield Teases Spider-Man Return, Shares Stage with DC and Marvel Stars

Ever since Andrew Garfield made his surprise return in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," fans have been clamoring to see his version of the web-slinger again. With the MCU's "The Multiverse Saga" continuing to unfold, the possibility of Garfield's return remains a hot topic.

Recently, during a panel at Abu Dhabi Comic Con, Garfield was asked about his willingness to reprise the role of Spider-Man. He jokingly stated he would answer honestly but quipped that he knew "people probably wouldn't believe it."

He then seriously added that while he genuinely doesn't know if there are future plans, he would be very open to returning if the opportunity arose, but with one condition: "I'm very, very open to it, but it would have to be very strange, very unique, very unexpected."

The event saw Garfield share the stage with Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen in the DC series "The Flash," and Charlie Cox and Wilson Bethel, who portray Daredevil and Bullseye, respectively. The interaction was met with enthusiastic reception.

Footage from the panel quickly circulated online:

It's worth noting that while Garfield hasn't officially appeared in the MCU since 2021, his Spider-Man character did make a cameo in the animated film "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."

Speculation is rife that Garfield could appear in "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" and "Avengers: Secret Wars." Considering his "must be very strange" condition, having his Spider-Man traverse into a world with the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four would indeed be a surreal situation for a Peter Parker who has largely fought alone in his own universe.

Furthermore, whether it's clashing with other heroes or acquiring the Symbiote black suit, the possibilities for Garfield's version of Spider-Man are endless. Many fans speculate that he might already know his return timeline but is bound by Marvel's strict secrecy policies from revealing it publicly.

With Marvel President Kevin Feige teasing more cast announcements for "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty," fan anticipation for Garfield to don the Spider-Man suit once more is steadily growing. Will he indeed reappear in the MCU? The answer may soon be revealed.
