TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has officially announced today the latest product from the popular "S.H.Figuarts" action figure series, "Char Aznable" from "Mobile Suit Gundam," slated for release in October 2025.
The legendary figure of the Universal Century, Char Aznable, whose real name is Casval Rem Deikun, went into exile with his younger sister Artesia (Sayla) after his father was assassinated by the dictatorial, warmongering Zabi family. His mother soon passed away in despair. Facing constant persecution from the Zabi family, Casval's actions became increasingly radical after arriving on Earth. He possessed talent and ideals but was always willing to betray to achieve his goals. He assumed the alias Char Aznable and infiltrated the Zeon military academy, outwardly becoming the terrifying "Red Comet" to the Earth Federation Forces, but in reality, he was the son of Zeon Deikun, determined to avenge his family against the Zabi family by any means necessary.
The "S.H.Figuarts Char Aznable" brings to life Char's appearance from Universal Century 0079 with an articulated figure standing approximately 15.5 cm tall. The sculpt meticulously recreates the elegant physique, iconic masked helmet, and red Zeon military uniform design as depicted by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko.
It also incorporates the latest cutting-edge articulation design from the S.H.Figuarts series, featuring flexible shoulder and hip joints. The hem of the jacket is made from soft plastic material to minimize interference with articulation, allowing for natural poses such as arms crossed, elegant crossed-leg sitting, and high kneeling.
Accessories include interchangeable face parts such as "Normal Face," "Smirking Face," "Smiling Face," "Newtype Ability Activated Face," and "Gritting Teeth Face," along with 3 left and 4 right interchangeable hand parts, a beam rifle, and Newtype ability effects, allowing for the recreation of numerous iconic scenes from the series!
