Published by BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the 6-inch action figure series "GUNDAM UNIVERSE", designed for Mobile Suit Gundam fans worldwide, has announced the latest product from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the "ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos (Renewal)", slated for release in October 2025.
The "GUNDAM UNIVERSE" series, which has been progressively released since 2019, features 6-inch tall completed Gundam action figures. The mobile suit designs often differ significantly from the original works, giving the armor lines a sharp, robust, and more three-dimensional appearance from any angle. Many of the joint designs are quite sturdy and suitable for play. While the toys are durable, they have had drawbacks such as some overly bold styling and articulation that was lower than expected. Now, Bandai has finally launched improved new products, re-releasing previously featured mobile suits with new articulation frames and new sculpts.

The "GUNDAM UNIVERSE ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos (Renewal)" has been re-created with a new sculpt, utilizing numerous panel lines and raised designs that differ from the original, giving the exterior armor a high density of detailed styling. The characteristic hydraulic cylinders on both sides of the waist also feature painted details and an interlocking design. The articulation utilizes the newly developed "UNIVERSAL REACTION FRAME", expanding the range of motion for the torso and limb joints.
Weapon accessories include various interchangeable hand parts, a 300mm Smoothbore Gun, a Mace, and a Long Sword, which can be combined with the greatly evolved articulation design to recreate various powerful weapon-wielding poses.
