The anime-themed high-quality character pre-painted figure series "Lucrea", launched by Japanese model manufacturer MegaHouse, today unveiled for the first time the development prototype of its latest product, "Hatsune Miku x Wing Gundam Zero EW", stemming from the "Gundam 45th Anniversary x Hatsune Miku" collaboration project. The release date is yet to be determined.
The "Gundam 45th Anniversary x Hatsune Miku" collaboration project, announced in October 2024, invited numerous artists to participate in its creation. It not only produced illustrations merging Hatsune Miku with famous Gundam mobile suits but also released a collaborative song, "Idol Senshi / アイドル戦士 (feat. Hatsune Miku)", which remixes classic theme songs from various past "Gundam" series and incorporates numerous Gundam references. The project will launch a large number of collaborative model toys and merchandise between the Gundam IP and Hatsune Miku in 2025, and has also announced collaborations with Bandai Namco's "Taiko no Tatsujin" and "Gundam EXVS. Series".
MegaHouse's upcoming "Lucrea Hatsune Miku x Wing Gundam Zero EW" is based on the design created by renowned illustrator neco for the project, combining rich elements such as the heroine Relena's white military uniform and Wing Gundam Zero EW's white wings with Hatsune Miku. From the currently revealed prototype, it is evident that the overall sculpt thoroughly reproduces the image and pose from the original artwork, meticulously bringing the magnificent military uniform, wings, and base into three dimensions. MegaHouse has also announced that a painted sample is currently in production and is expected to be revealed at a later date.
