Director Dan Trachtenberg, who helmed the critically acclaimed "Prey," is ambitiously expanding the "Predator" universe this year with multiple projects. One, an animated feature titled "Predator: Killer of Killers," saw its first trailer released earlier this month, slated for a June 6 exclusive premiere on Disney+. Now, the official sixth live-action installment, "Predator: Badlands," has followed suit, unveiling its teaser trailer and poster (pictured below).

"Badlands" is set for a November 7 release in North America, strategically positioning it in the latter half of the year, following "Killer of Killers" in the first half. Trachtenberg co-wrote the script with "Prey" screenwriter Patrick Aison. Set in the near future, the film stars Elle Fanning as a synthetic protagonist, with Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi taking on the role of the titular Predator.
Notably, the logo on Fanning's character's jacket identifies her synthetic model as a product of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, a prominent entity from the "Alien" franchise. This detail strongly suggests that the studio is laying the groundwork for future "Alien vs. Predator" films.
