Renowned poster design and toy company MONDO is set to release a new "Alien"-themed product – the "Mantis Alien." The suggested retail price is $200 USD, limited to 500 units worldwide. Pre-orders are now open on the official MONDO Shop website, with an estimated shipping date of November 2025!
This Mantis Alien soft vinyl figure stands approximately 26.6 cm tall. It has been re-created by renowned toy designer and artist James Groman, referencing Kenner's past variant Mantis Alien from their toy series. The sculpt showcases intricate biological and muscular details, and the inner mouth features an extendable function. Its gaping maw and sharp claws on both hands are truly chilling! The team has adopted a silver-green color scheme for the first release, inspired by the effect of acid blood melting metal, which emits an eerie yet magnificent luster under light!
Additionally, it will include a soft vinyl figure of the unfortunate Marine Corporal Hicks, equipped with an anti-Alien rocket launcher and reloadable missiles, along with a Facehugger. These can be displayed together to evoke the despair of facing the Mantis Alien, providing rich playability and storytelling for the simply articulated soft vinyl figures!
