Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS' action figure brand "S.H.Figuarts" has announced its latest Ultraman-themed product: "Ultraman Mother" (ウルトラの母)! Pre-orders are expected to begin tomorrow (25th), with sales starting in September 2025, at a suggested retail price of 8,000 JPY.
Ultraman Mother is, in her setting, the captain of the "Silver Cross Army" which conducts medical activities in space for the Land of Light, and is the true blood mother of Ultraman Taro. Not only can she unleash powerful healing rays, but Ultraman Mother, full of maternal love, also possesses a special power that can tame ferocious aliens. She first appeared in the first episode of "Ultraman Taro" (ウルトラマンタロウ), where her human form on Earth was a woman known as "Midori no Obasan" (Green Auntie/Crossing Guard Auntie), and she was also the first female Ultraman to appear in the series.
Thoroughly supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, the S.H.Figuarts rendition of Ultraman Mother perfectly recreates her 1973 appearance in "Ultraman Taro," from the "Mother's Red" resembling a red hairpin on her head, the Silver Cross medal, the blue "Mother's Blue" bracelet on her left arm, to her exquisite figure and the sculpted lines of her suit seams, all are incredibly detailed and captivating from any angle! Truly the strongest mother who gently protects the Ultraman warriors.
Accessory contents include multiple interchangeable hands and effect parts for her classic move: the peachy-pink Healing Ray (Mother Kousen).
