Yesterday (24th), the Danish toy company LEGO announced the latest product in its "LEGO ART" series, item number 31216, "Keith Haring – Dancing Figures"! It is scheduled for release on May 15, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$119.99.
Active in the 1980s, Keith Haring was one of the representative figures of New York street art in the United States. He excelled at conveying messages with simple lines and vibrant colors, prompting reflection on social issues including freedom, anti-war, equality, and, in his later career, AIDS prevention. Among Keith Haring's many creations, the highly iconic Dancing Figures are a powerful expression of love and life. The figures, outlined simply, with their passionately dancing postures and dynamic lines, possess extremely high recognition.
This set comprises a total of 1773 pieces, utilizing colorful LEGO bricks to fully capture the unique dynamism and vital energy of the Dancing Figures. I was personally amazed that "LEGO bricks could achieve such fluid line depiction" and was deeply captivated by the unique visual effect of the LEGO Dancing Figures model. After assembly, the approximately 30 cm size also makes for a strong presence! Paired with a stand and transparent pieces, it looks truly stunning when displayed; moreover, these five different Dancing Figures can also be wall-mounted, which is incredibly exciting!!
