Lionsgate's "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina," the highly anticipated spinoff from the "John Wick" franchise, unveiled 12 exclusive character posters tonight via IGN, revealing a surprising addition to its star-studded cast: South Korean actress Sooyoung.
While her involvement hadn't been officially announced, speculation about Sooyoung's Hollywood debut in "Ballerina" began months ago after eagle-eyed fans spotted her in a group photo with the film's crew last year. The release of her individual character poster (below) now officially confirms her role.

The "Ballerina" cast features returning "John Wick" favorites such as Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Anjelica Huston as The Director, and Lance Reddick as Charon. New faces joining the action include Ana de Armas in the lead role of Eve, Gabriel Byrne as The Chancellor, Norman Reedus as Daniel Pine, and Academy Award nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno, known for "Maria Full of Grace."

Len Wiseman, director of "Live Free or Die Hard," helms "Ballerina." The screenplay was penned by Shay Hatten, who contributed to "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum" and "John Wick: Chapter 4," with additional script work by Emerald Fennell, the acclaimed writer-director of "Promising Young Woman."
The film's narrative is set between the events of "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum" and "John Wick: Chapter 4." It delves into John Wick's recovery after his severe fall in "Chapter 3" and follows Eve's journey as she trains to avenge her father's death. "Ballerina" is scheduled for a North American release on June 6, 2025.
