GASHAPON, the gashapon brand of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, has announced the latest product in the "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" series of "Mobile Suit Gundam" heavy-duty X ensemble gashapon toys, characterized by common connection points and infinite customization. The "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE ~Ver. FUKUOKA~", themed after the "Life-sized ν Gundam Statue" in Fukuoka, was first released in the fourth week of April 2025 at the Namco LaLaport Fukuoka store, with future plans for sales at other stores operated by Bandai Namco Amusement.
The ν Gundam and Sazabi were originally mobile suits utilized by the two Newtype protagonists, Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, in the final battle of the theatrical anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack". In Bandai Namco's "Fukuoka Life-sized ν Gundam Statue" project announced in 2021, these two units were redesigned into the RX-93ff ν Gundam and MSN-04FF Sazabi, each possessing special armaments. Their respective funnel armaments were transformed into the even larger and more powerful "Long-Range Fin Funnels" and "Double Funnels".
The "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE ~Ver. FUKUOKA~" set includes five types: "RX-93ff ν Gundam", "Long-Range Fin Funnels", "MSN-04FF Sazabi", "Double Funnels", and a "Weapon Set". Both mobile suits meticulously recreate high-density details, characteristic body colors, and various markings in an approximately 3.5-head-tall SD proportion, and feature simple articulated joint designs.
The "Long-Range Fin Funnels" and "Double Funnels" can be equipped on the back and arms of the ν Gundam and Sazabi, respectively, recreating their armed poses. The "Weapon Set" includes the ν Gundam's beam rifle and shield, as well as the Sazabi's beam shotgun rifle, beam tomahawk, and shield. Both shields also faithfully reproduce Amuro's emblem and the Neo Zeon emblem.
