Japanese toy company Bandai has announced the latest transformation device toy product, "Dino Buckler Memorial Edition," from the classic 1992 Super Sentai series masterpiece "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger," scheduled for release in November 2025. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
"Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger" is the 16th installment in the "Super Sentai" series, broadcast by Toei in 1992. The story describes how the "Witch Bandora" and her subordinates, who were sealed on a distant planet by guardian gods and sought to conquer the world, were accidentally unsealed. They resolve to take revenge on humanity and destroy Earth. At this time, five sleeping ancient warriors: Tyranno Ranger, Mammoth Ranger, Tricera Ranger, Tiger Ranger, Ptera Ranger, and the later-joining Dragon Ranger, also awaken and form the Zyuranger team to fight against the evil Witch Bandora.
This time, Bandai revives the transformation device "Dino Buckler" used by the Zyurangers in the show with the latest modern technology. The overall sculpt is made with completely new parts, significantly upgrading both the detailed design and color texture compared to the DX version released back then, and it boasts the same size as the prop in the show.
Concurrently, the Dino Buckler is equipped with a motion sensor, a linkage mechanism with the belt, and rich light and sound effects. It identifies the user's movements and plays corresponding sound effects, allowing for a series of transformation performances as seen in the show, such as detaching it from the belt, raising it forward, flipping it, and deploying the main body!
In addition to the belt and the Dino Buckler main body, the product also includes five Guardian Beast emblems: Tyrannosaurus, Mammoth, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl. These emblems meticulously recreate the Guardian Beast patterns from the show, featuring gold paint and ink wash treatment to express a metallic cast texture. The five Guardian Beast emblems can be freely chosen and attached to the Dino Buckler, recreating the transformation scenes of the five warriors from the show.
Furthermore, the Dino Buckler is equipped with a BGM playback button, featuring two background music tracks: the theme song "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger (TV SIZE)" and "Calling for a Victorious Counterattack." It also includes the Dino Crystal summoning sound effect, Daizyujin combination sound effect, and attack sound effects that play in conjunction with punching motions when switched to "Gauntlet Mode."
