The villainous organization "Akatsuki" will be gathering under BANDAI SPIRITS' prize figure brand BANPRESTO in Japan! Based on "Naruto Shippuden," they will appear consecutively over three months in the EFFECTREME series and VIBRATION STARS series. The second release is the "EFFECTREME-Sasori-" character figure, scheduled for release in June 2025.
Sasori, who made a brief but highly popular appearance in the "Naruto" series, is an S-rank rogue ninja from Sunagakure (Hidden Sand Village) in the Land of Wind. He was once hailed as a genius puppeteer, skilled at turning people into human puppets and manipulating them to attack. His puppets stained the desert with blood during the Great Ninja War, earning him the moniker "Sasori of the Red Sand." Believing that "art is eternal beauty," he transformed himself into a human puppet, maintaining the appearance of a roughly 15-year-old. He later joined the "Akatsuki," wearing a ring with the character "玉" (Gyoku/Jewel) on his left thumb, representing "Virgo."
The BANPRESTO prize figure "EFFECTREME-Sasori-" stands approximately 16 cm tall, capturing a dynamic battle-ready pose. It faithfully recreates his signature expressionless face and the essential Akatsuki member's haori. He stands atop black iron sand effect parts, and the intricate details of his fingers are vividly sculpted, depicting the moment he manipulates the iron sand to launch an attack! Displaying him alongside subsequent Akatsuki figures will create an even more imposing presence~
