Japanese capsule toy brand Qualia's previous "Thomas & Friends" themed product, the "Thomas & Friends Funny Face Mascot Figure," is set to release its popular second installment—the "Thomas & Friends Funny Face Mascot Figure 2"! The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule, with an expected release in April 2025!
"Thomas & Friends" is a British children's television series that first aired in 1984. Initially animated using low-cost 1:32 scale physical models, it tells the adventure stories of anthropomorphic trains on the fictional island of Sodor. The "Thomas & Friends Funny Face Mascot Figure" series brings Thomas's expressions from the show to life in a cute, three-dimensional form. This second installment once again features five expressions: "Dumbfounded Thomas," "Absent-minded Thomas," "Confused Thomas," "Surprised Thomas," and "Lovably Naive Thomas." These figures delicately capture Thomas's unique range of facial expressions, especially the few mischievous-looking ones which are truly hilarious and bring to mind various funny Thomas memes!
